DAY 01/10 - 14JAN10 THURSDAY
0645hr flight, to avoid the taxi mid-nite charge and waking up in the middle of the nite, we reached the airport at around 11:45pm, can only check-in 2 hour before flying, so we took the sky train from T1 to T2 McDonnald, had supper and tried hard to sleep, I couldn't sleep, din expect to have problem sleeping lei:

Airport Express (the MTR alike) - HK$220/HK$300 for 1/2-way.
Airbus - HK$33 per trip, so we took the airbus to TST after getting the Octopus card (equivalent to our ezlink card):

booked for 2 nites (16/17JAN10) at Lucky Hostel via Asiarooms, went there to 'deposit' our luggage.

DIRECTIONS -

1. From Hong Kong Airport1. Airport Shuttle Bus: Airport bus is the most convenient and popular method to get to Chungking Mansions. The Airbus Station is located near the Arrivals Level (Level 5) of Hong Kong International Airport. Find the Airport Shuttle Bus Number: A21 , which terminal is called Hung Hom KCR Station.Please take a short wait and get on this Number of Bus. The bus departs approximately every 10-15 minutes. A fare is HKD $33(free of luggage fee). When you are on the bus, be sure to first to secure your luggage then find a sit on the lower level. In 40 - 80 minutes (depends on traffic situation) you will reach to the Bus Stop No.14 - the name of this Stop is called : Middle Road Station, Nathan Road. Because the service time of A21 is 05:00-23:59, you can use N21 airport bus at same place and stop at the same bus stop if you arrival Hong Hong after 00:00 and before 5:00A.M.Once you got off the bus, turn the back way, and walk approximately about 50M, It takes about 30 seconds on foot. you can see the Chung King Mansions front entrance on your right hand side. You will see the huge TV screen paste at the wall of Chungking Mansions. When you make sure you are at Chung King Mansions, Please kindly go straight of the row to Block C ( at the last tower of the Chungking Mansions ). You can see two lift in Block C, take the right hand side one, Lift Number 6 (stop at Floor 15), push the 15th floor button, when you come out from the lift, you can see our reception should on your right hand side.

2. Airport ExpressService from 05:50 to 01:15, every 12 minutes, it takes around 25 minutes,...

3. Taxi24 hours service. It takes about 30 minutes, costs around 300 HKD (free for luggage fee). Please tell the driver to stop at the ChungKing Mansion, Tsim Sha Tsui.Chinese Writting Address is : 九龍彌敦道36-44號重慶大廈C座15樓(總接待處)After entering to Chung King Mansion,Please go straight the row,and you will find Block C at the last Tower,Please take lift Number 6 (in Block C)to Floor 15.

Took MTR from TST to Mongkok Exit D2 - Argyle Centre, it's like our Bugis with many little shops, yiting & i bought a pair of boots each and yiting bought a 'school' bag,...

we returned to the guesthouse to retrieve part of our luggage before meeting garrick at Jordan Exit A, garrick brought us to this restaurant that serves hainan cuisine, yum yum the hainan wen chang ji and the yu dan he fen:
took taxi to garrick's place at kwun tong where we'd our 1N home-stay, thank you garrick for putting us up... um... and putting up with us.

i was actually pleasantly surprised at how spacious his apartment is as i’ve heard about how small most of the apartments are. he said his is the typical apartment for a family of 4. the adjectives 'spacious' & 'small' are not to be used to compare with our HDB flat okay.

garrick offered to sleep in the living room and let us take his bedroom and studyroom, dun wanna disturb him so much, we shared the studyroom:

DAY 02/10 - 15JAN10 FRIDAY

the staff was so efficient, followed closely behind the last performer, the moment the last performer passed the pole, tied the rope nicely, the poles were removed shortly after parade:

back to hotel, me with my 'twin sister' while waiting for my turn to take shower:
8:30-10:30pm dinner at Enchanted Garden Restaurant, the disney characters came to us to take picture lor, unlike in the theme park where we needed to queue to take picture with the disney characters:
