asam laksa, jb bt indah jusco old town coffee... i like the sourness but the soup not hot enough

guava with chenpi ('salted dried orange skin powder') m$2, jb bt indah jusco tang shifu... not fresh

mee suah with herbs & rice wine m$13.90, jb bt indah jusco tang shifu... 'smell nice and can see smoke' but the soup not hot enough lei... it's like all cooked seperately then put together to serve...

dried scallops & petite abalone mixed rice m$13.90, jb bt indah jusco tang shifu... also 'smell nice and can see smoke' but the gravy not hot enough lei... added m$1 for the side, the black beans n stewed pork very yummy :)

macritchie mushroom eatery... laksa... the gravy very yummy... not coconut milk can still cooked so nice gravy... but i dun like the frozen prawn which totally dun taste like prawn, the texture of the frozed prawn totally different from those fresh ones... so rubbery...

nonya laksa, bt timah plaza nonya delicatessen.... disappointing this time, the gravy totally different from what we had previously... this round we were there around 1150 and they were not ready... not sure if they woke up late or what, and dun have enough time to prepare... the gravy like rather 'diluted' lor, see the pic after this, the nonya laksa i had in sep2011, the gravy color so different...

内有乾坤... this is the 招牌粥... got 猪肝, 猪肉, 猪肚, 鱿鱼, 花生, 猪肉丸, 油条... yum yum :)

i'd 'kway chap' + 花生 last week (also from tpy kou fu foodcourt)

'eat-out' this afternoon... so this is bento dinner ;)

made up for the 'lack of greens' this afternoon...

...... instead of throwing away the pumpkin seeds... i roasted them yesterday ;) ... yum yum and healthy snack... while watching tv now ;)

12 FEB 2012 SUN - Prosperity Toss Salad [LoHei]

we enjoyed the 撈鱼生 [Prosperity Toss / LoHei / YuSheng] so much on cny day 14 [05FEB2012 SUN] that my sis, susan went to the supermarket on that very day, to buy another 2 sets to eat after cny (expiry date APR2012)... so we had the prosperity toss yesterday, since not for cny, we do without the raw fish or abalone, so we had 'prosperity toss salad' :)

haha we can't finish all... a bit too sweet and sticky... so i kept the leftover in the fridge... today i added some purple cabbage, celery and cucumber to make this colorful salad... look nice.. taste yum yum too :)

Bonding

accompanied papa for his follow-up on catarat this afternoon... thereafter early dinner at jack's place...

i'd chicken clear soup [soup of the day... never expect them to serve clear soup, thought will be those creamy soup] and ordered lobster soup for papa

we've adopted '70% full' for quite some time but usually give it a skip when dinning out... this time round, papa said he can't finish all... wanna pack the potato for adrian to snack (adrian is my nephew, my eldest brother's son, papa is staying with them)... so we put aside these to pack home for adrian :)
haha that's my scissors... to cut the lamb chop into bite-size for papa... so convenient lor...

ended with coffee n cappucino cake

i asked papa if i should buy fruit cake for angel (my niece, my eldest brother's daughter, papa is staying with them), papa said 'home got cake, also got the cny goodies'... so papa suggested getting hot-dog for angel to bring to school tomorrow...
hahaha when we reached home angel said she gonna eat it after her dinner... angel said she likes such hot dog and the pork floss bread... i asked her to choose one... she said since this time round 'ah-gong' bought hot dog for her, next time can buy her the pork floss bread... 'ah-gong' had a good laugh...
...the little ones and the folks are easily content with little little gesture... we just need to put in little effort... to create the bonding opportunity for them :)

so... 'ah-gong' got this for adrian to add on to his dinner :)

supposed to trek at MacRitchie this morning but fever, runny nose n mild cough since last night... feeling better now after few rounds of meal-medicine-sleep... no more fever now, runny nose became blocked nose, cough still as mild... if ok will go trekking at Bukit Timah Hill tomorrow afternoon...
