uncle jimmy usually stay in Friendship Hotel which is just opposite Port Plaza, Friendship Hotel is under renovation, will resume business in MAR10:

wow the Port Plaza is a great shopping paradize lor! garrick told me it's a great place for shopping, it's like our citylink where the shops are in underground, but u can get almost everything lor. i did not take his words seriously, did not change any RMB, just brought along my left over RMB600+. guess what? i withdrew from ATM total RMB3,500 (over 4 times as maximum RMB1,000 for each withdrawal... so total i paid SGD20 withdrawal fee and the rate not very good lor SGD1=RMB4.7717). luckily it is winter season, not the right season for me to get clothes and shoes, if not i will have to withdraw more $$$
