um... the 大世界, quite a nice movie, a movie for you to laugh n relax...
perhaps it is not my 'generation', so dun have that kind of walk down the memory lane feeling...
my memory of 大世界 is just a place where we had basketball practices and tournaments during my secondary school life... i only remembered that i had my favorite rojak packed in fresh 'yam' leaf if i am not wrong... oso there were many furniture shops then... and i know this place as 'Gay World'.
din know that it was once similar to that kind of 'fun fair'. i think last time we had those kind of 'portable* mobile fun fair' similar to those 'games' shown in the movie, in early 1980s i think. so i think the 大世界 became 'portable* mobile fun fair' after the closure? (y m i using e word 'portable', i think i 中毒太深, give me some time to 解毒 lol...)
anyway, haha i was telling ST that i wanna learn the CUTE song that 'alamak hui ge' sang in the movie, so my next ktv song will be this, 葛蘭's <我愛恰恰> from 電影<曼波女郎> lol :
while searching for this, i 'accidentally' found the song <天涯歌女> which mama n i have fond memory, i remembered i used to sing this song for her... so i am learning this song again besides the hokkien songs for mama... will share after i go ktv and record these.
