haha can locate my luggage 'queuing' in the above pic (behind the backpack with luminous green rain-cover)... soon we were physically queuing for check-in... guess what? the filming director (with his recording camera) just dashed across the queue to film the female lead's crying sence (she used eye-drop)... hahaha we were wondering if we are going to appear on their national tv lol ;)

1224 the female lead filming the after 'crying' sence

1318

1322 cockpit

1359 baggage claim

sarkee was waiting for us outside the arrival hall already... hahaha his driver asked him if i am a nepali, i was wearing my punjabi suit then ;) [btw sarkee said in nepal, my 'punjabi suit' is known as 'kurta']
wow i was already feeling hungry while on the plane... did not eat that packet of peanuts (given by the air-stewardess) as i was still coughing... st was shocked when she heard me telling sarkee i am hungry as i was never hungry during the trekking trip...

Hotel Marshyangdi was full but they arranged for us to put up at 'buddha hotel' which is just a few minutes walk into the alley opposite Hotel Marshyangdi, sarkee said we put up there but have our meals in Hotel Marshyangdi... we arrived at 'buddha hotel' to check in but no reservation lei... sarkee so considerate, suggested us to walk over to Hotel Marshyangdi for lunch while the staff from both the hotels settle our accommodation issues...

1442 my kopi

1447 nepali soup... got the pungent bamboo shoot smell... very mild la... yummy ;)

1458 this is the 'yummiest' dal bhat we have so far... the mutton no 'smelly mutton smell'... got so much well-cooked mutton 'skin', good source of collagen :) that we needed badly [the sun & the weather had done great damages to our skin lor]... the rest of the dishes also very yummy :)

... sarkee had coffee while we were having our late lunch, very slowly that we finished all except the rice ;)
the front-desk manager of Hotel Marshyangdi came to confirm with sarkee about our room which ended up to be in the side building of Hotel Marshyangdi... he and sarkee were chatting in nepali language and i heard sarkee mentioning 'ghandruk & gurung'... hahaha my guess was right... i turned to the manager and greeted him 'namaste' and we had a good laugh... the manager was asking sarkee if i am a nepali... sarkee told him i am a 'gurung lady from ghandruk' hahaha...
... now i know why the uncle owner of the sakura guest house kept looking & smiling at me during our stay in ghandruk... just like a papa looking at the daughter he dotes... i look like a 'gurung lady from ghandruk' :)
st said my features (esp my eyes) and figure (aka my fat fat body la hahaha) very indian plus i was wearing a punjabi suit... this was not the first time she said so... when she joined me in india in feb 2007 she already said so when seeing how the locals looked at me...

1715-1830 we went to holistic yoga ashram... hoping to meet the guru who taught us 5 years ago, also to attend a session of hatha yoga... that guru not there lor :( and no hatha yoga class :( only have Astanga Yoga which i dun like because of the 'jumping' as compared to the calming hatha yoga... but since no other choices and st never try astanga yoga before... so we signed up, each RS300 (about SGD5)... a small class of 4, 2 of us plus a russian couple who just completed EBC... hahaha st commented the guru at times like 'tuang ki kee tuang' (master performing religious ritual) lol... um... after the 'jumping' i was feeling great, not because of the 'master's ritual' la hahaha... it's my 'water-retention' condition improved after the 'workout' :)

i missed that guru who taught us 5 years ago... he is the one who indirectly inspired me to take up yoga seriously... i was so amazed then when he just used his fingers and lightly touched me to 'fine-tune' my posture...
guruji... where are you now?

1845 we went back to Hotel Marshyangdi... guess what? yuba was waiting for us at the entrance gate! yesterday before we parted in pokhara, yuba & amir did mention their intention to visit us in kathmandu today...

1900 we asked yuba to bring us to try local cuisine and he brought us here - Nargila Restaurant (this pic was taken on the next day as it was already dark when we arrived)

1918 babu & nani :)

1920 wow he gave us these, the organic green tea is from amir... amir came with him and they waited at the hotel entrance gate since 5+pm... amir left at around 6pm so as to catch the last bus home... aiya we missed seeing amir :(

1925 yuba & st had mushroom soup

1925 my tomato soup with cheese? or minestrone soup? hahaha i have forgotten what this is ;)

1934 this is like our 'sweet & sour chicken'

1934 vegetable pakauda (nepali snack)
we learnt that... amir is good at cooking and sometimes trek as a cook boy... while chatting with yuba & amir during the trekking trip...
so i asked yuba if amir knows how to cook this since this is a nepali snack... he said yes and claimed that amir's pakauda tasted much better than this...
[ aside to amir... i wanna try your pakauda ok? ]

1934 um... i forgotten the name of this... kind of wrap with vege, meat and sauce inside

2000 haha if not i mentioned about the trekker pass... yuba almost forgotten to pass them to us ;)

2123 these are the gifts from yuba (shawl) and amir (organic green tea)
[ aside to yuba & amir... thank you so much :) ]
