1115 we headed to the market place that we went yesterday... to...
1128 ... to get the gift for our '4 brothers'...
yesterday afternoon i managed to ask yuba about the pictures i took on yesterday morning... learnt from him that during deepavali, nepali sisters will buy such for their brother... a packet of dried fruits & nuts plus a bar of chocolate packed in plastic bag/ bowl or basket... we decided then to buy for our '4 brothers' (yuba, amir, driver uncle & sarkee)... can pass to sarkee when he picks us up tonight and c/o him to pass to the rest :)
[ when we gave this to sarkee in the evening... he said he already has 2 sisters, so happy to have another 2 :) ]
... saw a 'pinky local sister' (haha she was wearing a sweet light pink punjabi suit la) bought this and i asked her, she said she paid RS120 (about SGD2) each... when we wanna buy, this man said RS150 (about SGD2.50) and refused to sell us at RS120... then i saw the 'pinky local sister' again, told her the man refused to sell us at RS120 and asked her to try getting 1 for us... so we bought the first 'basket' one... um... 3 more to go...
saw another stall managed by a boy, he dun understand english, i wrote RS120 on a tissue paper, he wrote RS150... i dunno if they 'up' the price for foreigners or my 'pinky local sister' good at bargaining hahaha...
1135 then at this stall i managed to get 3 at RS120 each... but only have the plastic bowl ones...
so mission completed... now can go hotel harati for our long-waiting masala tea ;)
after yesterday experience, today we did not rush back to check-out... though we did not even request for a late check-out... we just can't be bother to rush back...
1148 at the harati hotel cafe... i think 5 years ago we also took pic in such pose, we were trapped here for a few days because of the curfew then, the waiter recommended masala tea to us n we love it... this time round, we had masala tea at different places but they tasted differently... we missed the 'original taste' that we first had... so we are here to 'revive our memory'...
btw st said she looked so dark in this pic... so we swapped seat...
1149 .... hahaha still as dark... she gets tanned easily and i'd 2 layers of 'SPF50 PA+++' (my face only) every morning throughout my ABC trekking trip but still darker by a shade ;)
